Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ Interim Custody Agreement Detailed in New Court Docs

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have reached a temporary custody agreement in their divorce, detailing where their two two daughters — Willa and Delphine Jonas — will spend the holidays.

In new court documents filed in the Southern District of New York on Tuesday and obtained by The Messenger, the soon-to-be former spouses decided that their children will stay with Jonas in the U.S. from Oct. 21 to Nov. 2.

Though they can travel during this time, they must be brought back to New York City to reunite with Turner on Nov. 2. From that day to Nov. 22, they will stay with Turner and then return to Jonas again until Dec. 16, when Turner and Jonas will meet in NYC, and the kids will stay with Turner until Jan. 7.

Jonas and Turner are required to submit a status report of the agreement to Judge Katherine Polk Failla by Dec. 23.

The next hearing in their divorce is scheduled for Dec. 14.

Jonas filed for divorce last month, ending his and Turner's four-year marriage. Since then, the former pair have been locked in a battle regarding the location of their children's primary residence. Turner would like to be based in England, while Jonas has previously stated he is "okay with the kids being raised both in the U.S. and the UK" though they have "spent the vast majority of their lives in the U.S." and are American citizens.

Before the disagreement over custody, the Game of Thrones actress and Jonas Brothers member presented a united front in a joint statement shared on Turner's Instagram profile.

"After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage," the exes wrote. "There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy and our children."

A source exclusively told The Messenger at the time that Jonas and Turner "have been having issues for months now."

"It's been going on all summer. They have been trying to make it work but decided to go their separate ways in August. Joe is planning to file soon," the insider continued. "Distance was a huge factor as Joe has been busy on tour, and Sophie has been spending most of her time in the U.K. They have been incredibly unhappy and not on the same page while Joe's been touring."

The source added, "Sophie agreed that they have grown apart and have different priorities."

Turner and Jonas share two children together. They welcomed daughter Willa in July 2020 and welcomed their second baby, Delphine, in July last year.
