Fox Sports commentator Skip Bayless is claiming that Taylor Swift is to blame for the Kansas City Chiefs' loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday.

"Feels like it's about time to call Taylor Swift a distraction. What do you think, Patrick [Mahomes]? Andy [Reid]? How about you, Travis [Kelce]?" Bayless tweeted following the football game, which saw the Chiefs lose to the Raiders, 20-14.

Bayless double downed on his hot take the next day, writing, "Chiefs imploding on the field and the sideline. Taylor Swift Effect???"

The Undisputed host received backlash from X (formerly Twitter) users, who took to the comments section to explain that the singer, who was in attendance at the game to support boyfriend Travis Kelce, wasn't actually responsible for the score.

"Is Taylor a tight end or wide receiver on the chiefs? No? Okay so she isn't the problem," one user wrote. Another added, "Taylor swift getting more blame than the qb like she's on the team is hilarious lmao."

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes disputed the idea that Swift is a distraction to the team while speaking to ESPN in November.

"I don't think it feels any different," he said. "[I] think it becomes a bigger deal to the fanbases than it does to the guys that are actually in the building."

Mahomes added, "I've been lucky enough to meet Taylor and see how good of a person she is. I think you understand why it's not become a distraction or anything like that because everybody cares about being the best they can be every day."
