Selena Gomez Clarifies What She Was Really Gossiping With Taylor Swift About at Golden Globes

'Selena never saw or spoke to Kylie and Timothée,' an insider previously told The Messenger of the viral gossip session

Selena Gomez is revealing what went down in a viral video of her and Taylor Swift spilling some tea.

On Sunday night, a sound-less clip from the Golden Globes circulated all across social media of the longtime friends appearing to gossip with Keleigh Sperry.

In the video, Gomez — who was nominated for Only Murders in the Building — whispers something seemingly dramatic to Swift. The "Cruel Summer" singer is clearly shocked by whatever Gomez told her and appears to mouth, "She what?"

Fans have been desperately trying to read their lips, with many speculating that they were talking about Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, who co-starred in A Rainy Day in New York with Gomez.

However, Gomez is dispelling this theory. In a comment on E! News' Instagram page, the Disney channel alum wrote that she and Swift were discussing a hookup between two of her friends.

"Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that's anyone business," Gomez wrote.

Additionally, an insider previously confirmed Chalamet and Jenner were not the subject of the trio's gossip session, noting that subsequent rumors were "completely made up."

"Selena never saw or spoke to Kylie and Timothée," said the source.

Gomez, Chalamet and Jenner have not responded to The Messenger's request for comment.
