Salma Hayek Pinault Says She Uses Mascara to Cover up White Hair: ‘You Should Try It’
The 56-year-old made the confession about her beauty routine during an appearance on 'Good Morning America'
Sometimes even A-list movie stars need beauty hacks.
During a Wednesday appearance on Good Morning America, Salma Hayek Pinault revealed she has a relatable trick up her sleeve to combat the aging process.
“You don’t see the white hair right now because I put mascara,” the actress, 56, said while pointing to her head. “I’m too lazy to dye my hair.”
As GMA co-hosts Michael Strahan, Rebecca Jarvis and George Stephanopolous reacted with laughter, Jarvis told Hayek Pinault, “I know exactly what you’re talking about, I’ve done the same thing.”
The Oscar winner said it could be a useful tool for the guys, too, telling Stephanopolous, “It’s my trick. George, you should try it one day.”
Hayek Pinault was responding to questions about an Instagram post she made June 7, in which she’s seen up close and personal without a stitch of makeup. She captioned the photo, “Me waking up and counting how many white hairs and wrinkles have crashed the party this morning.”
The House of Gucci star was praised for the candid shot, with one commenter writing, “White hairs & wrinkles are like the crown of wisdom for the women. You are beautiful just the way you are, mamá.”
Hayek Pinault can next be seen in a season 6 episode of Black Mirror called "Joan Is Awful," in which the actress plays a heightened version of herself.

"I was shocked when I read the script," she said on GMA. "I was shocked that my name was in it. It was not difficult at all. It's an opportunity to make fun of yourself. It's a parody of me. They were afraid I wasn't going to want to do some things. But I wanted to take it even further! I have a very good sense of humor about myself."
The sixth season of Black Mirror hits Netflix June 15.
