It's been a while — 30 years, to be exact — but Bill Wyman is making time to reunite with his bandmates in the Rolling Stones.

The bassist, who quit the iconic rock band in 1993, was convinced to come back and contribute to the group's new project, which pays tribute to late drummer Charlie Watts, the Sun reports.

Wyman, 86, will be featured on one track, which he recorded in Los Angeles about six months ago at the invitation of frontman Mick Jagger, per the outlet.

A source told the Sun: “Bill hasn’t seen the band together for years, but always loved Charlie. This record’s really a tribute to Charlie, so he couldn’t say no.”

The late Watts will also have a posthumous presence on the new album, as it will include some of his drumming recorded prior to his death in 2021 of throat cancer.

“It was really nice for Mick, Keith and Ronnie Wood to be back in the studio remembering Charlie, and playing and singing to drum tracks that are being repurposed and woven into the album," the source added to the outlet.

The album, which is expected this fall, will be the first from the band since the covers collection Blue & Lonesome in 2016.
