On Tuesday's episode of The Voice, country music legend Reba McEntire performed an emotional tribute to her late mother, Jacqueline McEntire.

The Voice coach sang her song "Seven Minutes in Heaven," which laments about "somebody waiting for me on the other side."

"I wouldn't ask Cash why he wore all-black," she sings. "Or have Elvis sing me a song/I wouldn't ask why Kennedy died/'Cause I know that I wouldn't have long."

The lyrics continue, "If I had seven minutes in Heaven/ I know just what I’d do/ Take a walk down those golden streets/And find a quiet corner booth."

At the end of the performance, a portrait of Jacqueline appeared behind Reba. She then turned and looked at the screen, saying, "I miss you mama."

Jacqueline died of cancer in March 2020, she was 93-years-old. In October, Reba revealed that after her mother died, she contemplated not singing anymore.

"I told my little sister Susie when we were working at the house, I said, 'I don't know if I want to sing anymore,'" Reba shared. "She said, 'Why?' I said, 'Because I always sang for Mama.'"
