Rascal Flatts’ Joe Don Rooney Has Finalized Divorce From Wife Tiffany Fallon

Joe Don Rooney and estranged wife Tiffany Fallon have finalized their divorce nearly three years after the Rascal Flatts star first filed for divorce in January 2021.

In court documents obtained by The Messenger, the country star and Fallon settled in late September, according to the final divorce decree — which lists a number of reasons for the filing including extramarital affairs by both parties, financial struggles that began after the end of Rascal Flatts, and Rooney’s alcoholism.

"The Court finds that each of the parties bears a share of the responsibility for the demise of this marriage," the documents state. "Neither party is perfect, and their individual shortcomings are all human failures with which many of us will be confronted at some point in our lives. The Court will not condemn them further for giving into their human frailties when lonely, emotionally lost or in despair."

The former couple — who are parents to son Jagger, 17; and daughters Raquel, 13, and Devon, 8 — will share custody of their children and have each been directed to refrain from making "derogatory comments" about one another to or in front of the kids.

Additionally, Fallon is set to receive $791 per week in child support.

Shortly after filing for divorce in 2021, Rooney was arrested for DUI and then admitted to Cirque Lodge Rehabilitation Center in Utah, where he spent four months. During his stint in rehab, Rooney admitted to "engaging in intimate sexual contact" with a fellow patient as well as admitted to having a different, one-month-long affair in August 2021 with another woman. Fallon also admitted she began an affair with her personal trainer in August 2020. 

"The fact remains that his abuse of alcohol damaged his marriage and his relationship with the Wife and children," the documents state. "The Husband now acknowledges the unfortunate role the abuse of alcohol played in his life and credits his accident with ultimately saving him by helping him escape the clutches of alcohol abuse."

The former couple initially met in 2003 and tied the knot in April 2006.

The Messenger has reached out to reps for Rooney and Fallon for comment.
