Queen Camilla reportedly sent her thanks to Piers Morgan after he called Meghan Markle "Princess Pinocchio" during a broadcast.

Omid Scobie, a journalist who covers the British royals, alleges in his new book "Endgame" that the Queen Consort sent a message to Morgan thanking him for speaking out against Markle in favor of the royal family.

According to the New York Post, Scobie writes that the King's wife offered her thanks to Morgan after he "[defended] The Firm" and "[stood] up" to Markle after her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. During her and Prince Harry's interview with Winfrey, the Duchess of Sussex claimed that the family was being racist towards the couple's son Archie — Markle claimed one member of the family even asked how dark his skin was going to be — and that they ignored the former Suits actress while she was experiencing mental health issues.

After the interview aired, Morgan took to X (formerly Twitter) to write that he "wouldn't believe [Meghan] if she read me a weather report."

Morgan also dubbed Markle "Princess Pinocchio" in an opinion piece in the Daily Mail. The TV host left Good Morning Britain shortly thereafter, once Morgan and ITV received complaints of racism and mistreatment of Markle in his coverage of the Duchess.

In "Endgame," Scobie also claims that a royal aide told him that the Queen would not publicly be addressing the controversies surrounding the Duke and Duchess as she would never "speak ill of others," but she did show "gratitude" to Morgan. The author further notes that the Queen was glad "somebody was standing up" to Markle.

Elsewhere in Scobie's new book, set to be released Tuesday, the writer alleges that Kate Middleton once "jokingly shivered" upon hearing Markle’s name.

The royal family did not immediately respond to The Messenger's request for comment.
