Ryan Garcia simultaneously has a lot to celebrate and a lot to grieve.

The professional boxer announced the birth of his son in an Instagram post over the weekend. However, shortly after sharing the good news, he said in a since-deleted follow-up post that he and model wife Andrea Celina were divorcing.

"Honored To announce my Beautiful First Born SON. PRAISE THE LORD. I am so thankful, I love him so much already. He is so fast already haha. Took him just eight min to arrive. You know where he got that speed from lol. GOD DID! And GOD WILL," Garcia captioned a photo of his newborn. "HENRY LEO GARCIA. He will be 10 times stronger, 10 times wise, 10 times better looking but he will need to work 10 times harder. THANK YOU LORD I LOVE YOU."

In the follow-up post, the lightweight champion wrote in part, "As I step into a new chapter in my life, it's with a heavy heart to share that Drea and I have decided to divorce," according to a screenshot of the post from TMZ

Garcia later addressed the back-to-back posts in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) Tuesday.

"Some blatant lies running around," he began before making four points about the drama surrounding his family news. "1. No My Son Wasn’t Born an Hour before that post so stop lying about that."

He continued, "2. No my divorce wasn’t finalized an hour after the post. 3. There was never the right time to announce that. I should’ve just kept it private but it’s not anymore so make your assumptions about me. 4. Please respect this hard time now. I took down the post due to Andrea request. Now please give us peace and privacy thank you."

Henry Leo is Garcia's third child, and his second with Celina.
