Paul McCartney announced the show just hours before playing at Clube do Choro in Brasilia, Brazil
Paul McCartney gave a lucky 300 fans the shock of their lives by playing a surprise show at Clube do Choro in Brasilia, Brazil, Tuesday.
The former Beatle announced the concert on Instagram that same day, just hours before taking the stage.
"To celebrate the Got Back Tour arriving in Brazil, Paul will play a show later today at Brasilia’s Clube do Choro," read the post. "Tickets for the show are extremely limited!"
Only those who had already purchased tickets for McCartney's Thursday show at Mané Garrincha Stadium on his Got Back Tour had the option to nab the coveted tickets, which were priced between R$200 to R$400, or around $41 to $82, according to Fox News.
"It was like winning the lottery without having bought a ticket," civil servant Amanda Cardoso told the outlet of the show, where McCartney played a 22-song set that included Beatles songs and his solo work. "I'd already experienced moments I thought could never be beaten, but yesterday I was able to see my greatest musical icon just a meter away from me, interacting with me at various times in a place that was transformed into the Cavern Club for an hour and forty minutes."
McCartney also posted photos and video footage from the special night, which fans couldn't get enough of.
