Patrick Mahomes Shares Thoughts on Taylor Swift’s Attendance at Chiefs Games to Support Travis Kelce

Patrick Mahomes has been team Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift since day one.

Speaking with ESPN's Jeff Darlington ahead of Monday Night Football, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback opened up about his teammates newfound relationship with the Grammy Award-winner and how has affected his team this season.

"People see the whole Taylor Swift and Travis and they make it a huge deal because it is a huge deal," he said. "I think it becomes a bigger deal to the fan bases than the guys that are actually in the building."

"I've been lucky enough to meet Taylor and see how good of a person she is," he continued. "I think you understand why it's not a distraction or anything like that because everybody cares about being the best they can be every day. We'll see when we get to the off-season, maybe I'm traveling to Europe to go to a concert or something."

After Swift attended at a handful of games with Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes, and Kelce's family, the Kelce family patriarch told People that the Grammy winner is "a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman."

"I’ll tell you something very special that I noticed about Taylor the first time I met her," Ed Kelce said. "We're sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around. Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can."

The Messenger was the first to report that the NFL star and singer were "quietly hanging out" in September. 

"It is serious between Taylor and Travis," a source previously told The Messenger of the whirlwind romance between the pair. "They are fully dating and in a relationship." 

The source continued that "neither of them expected them to move quickly, but they have been inseparable since they first connected. They see each other as much as they can during this busy season."

"When they are not together, they are constantly FaceTiming and texting," the source added. "Friends around them think it is very cute and they are a great match. Taylor is having a lot of fun with the wives and girlfriends in the league. Brittany Mahomes has welcomed her with open arms and has really been the ring leader merging Taylor, her friends and the girl groups together."

"It is a new era for Taylor and she is loving this season of her life," the source continued. "It is very different from her normal group of friends but they have all been having a great time going to the games and bonding together. Taylor has really had an open mind to this new world, and the girls think she's really enjoyable to be around."

Swift won't be at Monday night's game because she's set to perform a makeup date in Brazil, where her concert Saturday night was postponed following the death of a fan and extreme heat in the region.
