Paramore Wipes Social Media Accounts After Band Members Agree Future Is Uncertain

Pop punk band Paramore has wiped clean just about all of their social media accounts, and fans are worried about the future of the group

The future of beloved 2000s pop punk band Paramore is uncertain following the clearing of all their social media accounts.

The band behind "Misery Business" currently has over 3.5 million followers on their verified Instagram account, but it is currently an empty profile with no posts and the default gray square as a profile photo. Their bio simply reads "paramore."

Their X (formerly Twitter) profile has also been wiped, and the group's website directs to a dead URL. Their Facebook, however, has a few posts, but the page's profile photo is also blank.

This follows a Dec. 14 interview with UPROXX in which the publication noted that Paramore has "fulfilled all label obligations and are effectively free agents." The piece also stated that "all three members agreed that there's a level of uncertainty" surrounding Paramore's future. Fans are nervous but, UPROXX wrote, "one thing's for sure — they're still going to be together, and they're still going to keep having fun."

Lead vocalist Hayley Williams added, "The only thing that matters is we will still get to be each other's community." Guitarist Josh Farro agreed with the sentiment, saying, "I just hope we can keep building the Paramore empire and then rule the world."

The band is slated to tour around Europe supporting Taylor Swift next summer.
