‘Oppenheimer,’ ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ Win Golden Tomato Awards
'Succession' and 'Mission Impossible -- Dead Reckoning, Part One' were also winners of the annual Golden Tomato Awards presented by Rotten Tomatoes
From the Golden Globes to the Golden Tomato Awards, Oppenheimer is a winner.
After dominating the drama categories at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, with wins for Best Drama Picture, Best Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Actor for Cillian Murphy and Best Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr., the film has been named the Best Movie of 2023 by the Golden Tomato Awards posted on the movie-ranking website Rotten Tomatoes.
It topped the list that also includes Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Part One at No. 2, Killers of the Flower Moon at No. 3, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at No. 4 and Barbie at No. 5.
Oppenheimer was also named Best Wide Release Movie and Best Drama.
The awards are based on the website’s Tomatometer scores as of Dec. 31, 2023.
Like at the Golden Globes where it won for best TV drama series, Succession was named Best TV Series and Best Returning Series, while The Last of Us was named Best New Series.
Although she didn’t get her flowers at the Golden Globes, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour got a Golden Tomato Award for Best Musical Movie, topping Flora and Son, Wonka, The Color Purple and The Little Mermaid.

Other winners include Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Part One, Best Action Adventure Movie; Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Best Animated Movie; Barbie, Best Comedy Movie; and Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, Best Documentary.
