The rapper premiered an unreleased song off her upcoming album 'Pink Friday 2,' slated for release this November
Nicki Minaj premiered a new track off her upcoming album, Pink Friday 2, during her performance at the 2023 MTV VMAs.
The rapper, who also opened the show as the host, donned a black dress swathed in tulle and stood alone on the stage to perform her latest song, "Last Time I Saw You." She then shifted from the ballad to an unreleased hip-hop track and announced it as a "Pink Friday 2 exclusive."
Though Minaj didn't share the name of the song, one of the lyrics included, "You say you look up to her, but really you look up to me."
The six-time VMA winner concluded the performance with, "Y'all ready for Pink Friday 2? Barbz, I love you."
Though Shakira took home the Video Vanguard award tonight, Minaj won the award just last year as well the award for Best Hip Hop.
Pink Friday 2 is scheduled to be released November 17.
