Nick Carter has shared his first post since the tragic death of his sister, Bobbie Jean Carter.

The 43-year-old took to Instagram to share a sweet video of his 7-year-old son, Odin Reign, golfing. Carter hadn't spoken publicly since the death of his 41-year-old sister was announced on Dec. 23.

In the video, the former Backstreet Boys singer can be heard yelling "Great shot" to his son as he swings a golf club. "Cherishing these moments," he captioned the short video.

Carter also shares two daughters, 19-month-old Pearl and 3-year-old Saoirse Reign, with his wife, Lauren Kitt.

Carter also released a new song today, "Never Break My Heart (Not Today)." He originally announced that he would be closing the year out with new music on Dec. 21, two days before his sister's death. The song is out now on all streaming platforms.

The Carter family believes that Bobbie Jean died after going into cardiac arrest. She leaves behind her 8-year-old daughter.

While Nick Carter has not spoken publicly about her death, their sister, Angel Carter Conrad, paid tribute to her with an Instagram post.

"To my older sister Bobbie," she wrote on Instagram. "You had a great sense of humor, and a lively spirit. Growing up, I was your baby, and you were my best friend. Life wasn't fair to you, that I know. Sometimes, it feels like you didn't have a shot, no matter what."

Bobbie Jean’s death follows their brother, Aaron, who drowned in a bathtub at his home at 34 in 2022. Their sister Leslie passed away due to an overdose in 2012.
