Meghan McCain Calls ‘The View’ Hosts ‘Crazy Old People’ Who Bully and Abuse Her
'Apparently, I am just on their minds every day. And it's pathetic,' Meghan McCain quipped about her former 'The View' co-hosts
Meghan McCain is sharing her no-filter opinion of her former The View co-hosts.
While on Wednesday's installment of Michael Malice's Your Welcome podcast, she noted that she's talking to her attorney after Ana Navarro allegedly compared her to Hunter Biden on the air. (McCain said Navarro didn't use her name specifically but eluded to it.)
"I can't go like a week without something being said about me on this show," McCain, who left the daytime talk show after four years in July 2021, said.
She added, "The thing about The View is that I didn't know when I signed my contract with ABC that this is forever, that for the rest of my life I'm going to be bullied, yelled at, abused and brought up for years."
McCain said she's trying to move on with life after The View with her own podcast, other projects and raising her two daughters, Liberty and Clover.
"I just didn't know that when I signed to do this show that I'd have to deal with these crazy old people just yelling about me all the time," she quipped. "I go whole swaths of time without thinking about them, whole months without thinking about the show or anything. Apparently, I am just on their minds every day. And it's pathetic."
Asked if she was a punching bag who punched back, McCain said her interactions with her former co-hosts "put them back on their heels because, again, that role is to kind of be demure and kind of be slapped around to show the audience that Republicans are basically a joke."

Earlier this month, McCain addressed Navarro's remark in a message on X (formerly Twitter).
"I have never been accused of a crime in my life and am a patriotic American — I would never and have never 'influenced peddled' in my life, let alone with foreign adversaries," she wrote in part. "Not all politicians children are the same — and I am no Hunter Biden."
She continued, "All accusations are absurd, defamatory and slanderous. I will be consulting my lawyers regarding what was libeled against me on The View this morning."
