Megan Fox is opening up like never before.

In her new book of poems, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, Fox describes heartbreaking details about her past — including her experience with a miscarriage and an abusive relationship.

In one of her poems, the actress — who is currently engaged to Machine Gun Kelly — wrote about undergoing an ultrasound while pregnant with a baby girl at 10 weeks and a day.

"I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh," she wrote, per People, later adding, "but now / I have to say / goodbye." Fox added another line in which she imagines holding the baby, "as they rip you from my insides."

"I will pay any price," she wrote. "Tell me please / what is the ransom / for her soul?"

In another poem, titled "oxycodone and tequila," the Jennifer's Body star detailed a past abusive relationship that turned physical at one point.

"today my sin was that i followed your friend to the dinner table / instead of waiting for you to lead me," she wrote, per E! News, and later added, "you hit me / again / and again."

In another poem titled "don't worry darling," Fox, who doesn't name her abuser, wrote, "mornings after you would hurt me / i would wake up and make your coffee / put on a sweatshirt so you wouldn't have to look at the bruises you left ... imagine all the girls who don't get hurt / for laughing at another boy's jokes."

In August, the Transformers actress announced that she would be releasing her debut book of poems on Nov. 7 while sharing the book's cover art on Instagram.

"These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence," she wrote in the announcement. "I've spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins."

"My freedom lives in these pages and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what's been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness," added Fox.

The actress was married to Brian Austin Green from 2010 to 2021 after meeting on the set of Hope & Faith when she was 18 and he was 30. The former pair, who shares three kids (Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 7) has had their fair share of public drama since their split.

Meanwhile, a source told The Messenger in June that Fox and Kelly are "in a better place" but "still working through some trust issues" following breakup rumors in February. They got engaged in January 2022 after meeting in 2020 on the set of their movie Midnight in the Switchgrass.

Pretty Boys Are Poisonous is now available.
