Megan Fox feels a kinship to her character in the cult hit horror comedy Jennifer's Body.

The actress opened up about her similarities with Jennifer, a cheerleader turned flesh-eating demon, while speaking with WWD in an interview published today.

Fox noted that her closet as a teenager was a mix of Hot Topic and “slutty clothes from Forever 21,” which felt akin to Jennifer in the film.

“I feel like that’s such a good representation of who I am in general. And before she was turned into a demon and she became this Goth icon, [Jennifer] was this poppy, typical cheerleader, Forever 21 girl," the actress said. "She was that typical girl who then there was this other side to her where she became the sort of demon sorceress. And I am both of those things, and I always have been."

Fox, who recently landed on the New York Times bestseller list for her book of poetry Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, added that she's experimenting with her look, dying her brown hair red and getting a sleeve tattoo.

She added, “I don’t have one consistent style. It really does depend on just what I’m feeling in the moment.”

The actress-turned-author is sharing her journey within the pages of her new book, which explores her relationship with herself and the men she's been with.

"I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what’s been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness,” Fox wrote on the back cover.
