Mariah Carey recently made a stop at the White House “to ring in the holiday season,” she revealed in a post on Instagram on Wednesday.

“Last week I had the pleasure of meeting President Biden & Vice President Harris at the White House to ring in the holiday season! While there, we got to see all the festive decor and spread some cheer!” Carey wrote.

That caption accompanied an eight-pic photo carousel of her visit in which she was accompanied by Moroccan and Monroe, her 12-year-old twins she shares with ex-Nick Cannon. In the first photo, Carey and her children are photographed with President Biden, in what looks like the Oval Office. In the other pics, Carey poses with Biden; Vice President Harris and her husband, second gentleman Doug Emhoff; chats with Harris as her children look on; hangs an ornament on the White House Christmas tree; poses with her children in front of a fireplace and a portrait of George Washington; and in front of the Christmas tree with her children.

Although Carey didn’t specifically reveal when the visit took place, it likely happened while she was on her recently wrapped Merry Christmas One and All! Tour, between her Dec. 15 date in Baltimore and Dec. 17 tour-closer in New York City.

Carey was recently in the news with her holiday favorite “All I Want for Christmas Is You” returning to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, a position it’s held for a total of 13 nonconsecutive weeks.

On its latest return to the summit, Carey’s holiday classic knocked Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” from the top spot, which it reached 65 years after its initial release.

Carey recently sent Lee flowers to celebrate her history-making feat.
