Man Buys $1,000 Worth of ‘Eras Tour’ Movie Tickets for Strangers So Wife Can Enjoy It With Swifties

'I feel like I have the best husband in the world,' said Casi Gerber, who was able to dance and sing with a room full of Swifties

A man in Boulder made his date night with his wife extra special when he dropped $1000 to fill his local movie theater with Swifties. Casi Gerber, 38, wanted to see Taylor Swift's Eras Tour movie in theaters but had a few worries about attendance.

"I was going to go by myself, but I didn’t want to be the only person dancing and singing by myself," she told The Denver Post.

Her husband, Greg Gerber, took matters into his own hands and announced on social media that he would pay for movie tickets for around 50 people to fill up the Boulder Cinemark Century movie theater.

"Compared to what we paid on the damn concert tickets, this is nothing," said Greg. "I owe her a good date night."

He surprised his wife with the news just ahead of the showing. "He sent the post without saying anything, and I thought woah, I want to go to this," Casi said. "Then I saw he commented and I was like, holy (expletive)! Um, you posted this?! No way, that’s insane. I was super surprised."

She then swung by the store to purchase friendship bracelet material to swap with her fellow Swifties.

As the couple walked up to the theater on Saturday night, they were greeted by more than 20 people.

Another fan, Gisella Tan, 28, was just as nervous to see the film alone and jumped at the opportunity. "I'm really excited," she said. "I'm hoping to make some friends out of this. It’s always good to make girlfriends, and it’s hard to make friends when you’re at this age and in a place like Boulder so I’m really excited."

Casi even made bracelet for Greg to wear on movie night: "best husband award," it read.

"I feel like I have the best husband in the world," she said.
