Two months later, Lana Del Rey is finally revealing how that viral video of her working a shift at an Alabama Waffle House in July came about.

It turns out, the "Diet Mountain Dew" singer was simply enjoying her time at the diner in Florence, Ala., while on a trip with her siblings when she was given an offer she couldn't refuse.

"We were on our third hour, and the servers asked, 'Do you guys want shirts?'" she told the Hollywood Reporter in a new profile published Wednesday, adding, "Hell yeah! We were thrilled."

The songwriter continued, "This guy, a regular, comes in every day and orders two things, so they were like, 'Just go get it for him!' I brought him a Coke. No ice. And an empty cup. For [tobacco] dip. I didn't see anyone take a video of me."

The restaurant manager eventually uploaded said video to Facebook, giving fans a look at Del Rey in the classic uniform, complete with her own name tag.

Though the six-time Grammy Award nominee seemingly looked back on the experience as a fond one, she jokingly told the outlet, "I wish my album had gone as viral. I woke up to, like, 10,000 texts the next morning — some from folks I had not heard from for 10 years. 'Saw your picture at the Waffle House!' I was like, 'Did you hear the new album?'"

The singer — who released her ninth studio album Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd in March — is currently on tour, playing shows across the South and Northeast. The tour picked back up on Sept. 14 at the FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tenn., and is set to wrap at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, W.V., on Oct. 5.
