KISS Frontman’s Son Says He Has No Interest in Carrying on the Band’s Name
'That's my dad's thing. I'm busy with my thing,' says Paul Stanley's son Evan
KISS frontman Paul Stanley's son isn't interested in trying on his dad's iconic black-and-white face paint.
Evan Stanley, whose own band Amber Wild opened several dates on KISS' recently concluded End of the Road farewell tour, dispelled rumors that he might lead a new KISS lineup following the legendary group's final concert in December.
"No. It's the funniest thing," Stanley said in an interview with MisplacedStraws.com's Jeff Gaudiosi. "People keep asking that constantly, and it's, like, dude, you can look at like a thousand interviews where my dad says it, Gene [Simmons] says it, I say it, Nick [Simmons, Gene's son] says it. It's, like, no. That's my dad's thing. I'm busy with my thing."
"I appreciate it. I'm grateful for it. I love it," he continued. "I'm a fan of the music. I'm a fan of the show. I've gotten to have a really unique and very wonderful life as a direct result of it. Do I wanna put the makeup on and be 'Baby Paul'? F--- no. I've got my own thing going."
"And that's not a knock," Stanley added. "I think there's someone out there who probably would wanna do that and would probably do an amazing job. But it's not me. I've not spent my life trying to be that. So, no — I've got too much other stuff going on."

While KISS may be done for now, the band will begin a "new era" with concerts performed by virtual avatars starting in 2027.
"What we've accomplished has been amazing, but it's not enough. The band deserves to live on because the band is bigger than we are," Paul Stanley said in December. "It's exciting for us to go the next step and see KISS immortalized."
