Kim Kardashian Reveals Girl Power DMs With Lauren Sánchez

Kim Kardashian and Lauren Sánchez have a special bond.

While reflecting on attending the Kering Foundation's Caring for Women event with Sánchez during New York Fashion week this past September, the SKIMS founder recalled getting into a bidding war with the former reporter over a Balenciaga couture dress. 

"I'm a big auction girl," Kardashian told Vogue for the outlet's profile on Sánchez published Monday, adding, "my strategy was to come in last minute."

The reality personality went on to tell the magazine that she yelled, "We'll share it!" at Sánchez from across the room: "I thought, you wear it once, I’ll wear it once, it’ll be so cute!"

Though the pair offered to switch off wearing the couture gown, Kering offered to make a dress for both women, who paid $200,000 each and will travel to Paris together for the dress fitting. 

Kardashian then revealed the sweet way they hype each other up, telling the outlet, "Lauren and I are always sending DMs building each other up. Every time there’s a look that we like, she’ll say, 'WOW,' or, 'OMG you look amazing.' She’s such a girl’s girl."

Last month, Sánchez attended the KKW Beauty founder's 43rd birthday party in Beverly Hills, wearing a curve-hugging, floor-length black gown for the star-studded soirée. 

"What an absolute blast it was celebrating you @KimKardashian," she captioned a carousel of photos of the two. "Your kind heart shines equally as bright as your beauty, and it's a constant reminder of the incredible person you are, both inside and out. Wishing you endless happiness in the year ahead!
