Kelsey Grammer's confirmed his support for Donald Trump, but according to the journalist who interviewed him, there could have been more to that conversation.

Host Justin Webb of BBC's Today asked the Frasier star if he is still backing the former president in the upcoming US presidential elections and he briefly replied, "I am, and I'll let that be the end of it."

Webb joked, "That was the end of it," adding that, "Though I have to say, Kelsey Grammer himself was perfectly happy to go on talking about it."

However, according to Webb, "The Paramount+ PR people, less happy that he talked about it at some length." After his co-host joked about how the network would be "really thrilled" over Webb's revelation, he added: "They decided that we'd had plenty of time for our interview."

The interview was primarily to discuss the Frasier reboot, which is currently streaming on the platform.

Webb reiterated that Grammer was "absolutely perfectly happy to talk about why he supported Donald Trump and still does in the coming election."

This isn't the first time Grammer has publicly supported the former president. In May 2019, he revealed whether he thinks his political views has impacted his career.

“I’m not aware of taking a [career] hit for it but now, certainly passions run high, and certainly he [Trump] has touched on an extraordinarily passionate response...I don't know if it's as serious or horrible as everybody wants it to be," Grammer said in a May 2019 interview on CNN, per Yahoo! UK.

He continued, "I think fabric being disrupted is a good thing. I don’t think Washington didn't do us any favors for the last 50, 60 years, I think they’ve all been sort of the same party, the same bunch of clowns, the same bunch of really unpleasant people. And I don’t think they’ve been helping anybody but themselves."
