Comedian Katt Williams sat down with Shannon Sharpe for a two-and-a-half interview on Club Shay Shay and held nothing back when talking about his peers in the industry.

Williams kicked off the explosive interview by calling out what he claimed were lies he said Sharpe allowed on his show, including one told by Rickey Smiley in a February 2023 episode when he claimed he was originally set to play Money Mike in the 2002 film Friday After Next.

"200 comedians auditioned for the role of Money Mike with me," said Williams, iterating the point that Smiley never had the role. Then he emphasized why. "The truth of the matter is Money Mike in the original script got raped in the bathroom, and that's what Rickey Smiley wasn't OK with."

Williams said he argued to change the plotline with production. "Katt Williams had to take the risk in front of the studios and the cast and the powers that be in his very first movie and say respectfully, humbly, guys, if we talk about anything else, I have no credibility and no pull. But we're talking about comedy where I have all the credibility and all the pull. The problem with Friday After Next is we're trying to make a classic comedy and this comedy involves a rape. And rape is never funny no matter who it happens to or what the circumstances are. If you would allow me to allow us to do this movie without a Black man getting raped in it, I promise you that it'll be twice as funny as it would be with him getting raped."

In the film, a character named Damon attempts to sexually assault Money Mike, who retaliates by crunching his testicles with pliers. Twenty-one years after the movie debuted, Williams is questioning why Smiley brought up the idea that he was originally slated to play the role.

"Everything Money Mike said, Katt Williams wrote," he went on. "So what Rickey Smiley said are his? You can't say my lines, I wrote 'em? That's how I already know I'm going to be funnier than you."

Williams also name-dropped Steve Harvey, Cedrick the Entertainer, and Harvey Weinstein in the scandalous interview, which can be seen below
