Kanye West is being sued for allegedly punching a man who asked him for an autograph.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a man named Justin Poplawski and his wife Tiffany Marshall filed a suit in Los Angeles against West accusing the rapper of assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and loss of consortium.

Loss of consortium refers to legal damages that can occur if someone's spouse is seriously injured or killed.

Poplawski, who told The Blast that he is a "well-respected autograph dealer," claims that on Jan. 13, 2022 in downtown Los Angeles, West hit him after asking for a signature while shouting, "I'm going to make a f---ing example of you."

Referencing his "f---ing divorce" from Kim Kardashian, Poplawski alleges that West shouted at him to "go the f--- [out of] here before I beat the f--- out of you. I'm going to make a f---ing example of you."

Additionally, the autograph dealer claims that the "Life of the Party" rapper yelled at members of the group with him to "go to the f---ing house and get my f---ing kids." One member of the group allegedly asked him to stop.

Poplawski alleges in the suit that West tried to physically assault, harm, batter and injure him "without limitation," and that he "engaged in with a conscious disregard of the rights and safety of [Poplawski] and others."

"[West] unlawfully and intentionally struck him, physically and violently attacked and battered him; and repeatedly struck him while he was defenseless and in fear for his safety causing Plaintiff to sustain damages," the suit states, according to The Blast.

Poplawski also states that he received an autograph from West in the past "without incident." He also argues that he was standing on public property at the time of the incident.

Representatives for the rapper did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
