After splitting from her fiancé Jason Tartick earlier this month, Kaitlyn Bristowe has had time to do some self-reflection when it comes to her future.

During an episode of her podcast Off the Vine on Wednesday, the former Bachelorette spoke openly about her desire to be a mom... one day.

"If it's not in the cards then I'm gonna die," Bristowe told guests Shawn Johnson and Andrew East. "I love kids, I love babies. I really do believe I'm supposed to be a mom."

She added, "It just scares the sh-- out of me... It's a scary world."

Bristowe previously revealed she froze her eggs six years ago, an experience, she said, opened her eyes to a world of possibility.

"I remember when I was freezing my eggs, it really took my focus away from my body dysmorphia and and it made me go, 'Wait, our bodies are so cool,'" she explained. "Women are having babies so much later in life now."

Back on Aug. 8, Tartick and Bristowe announced they were ending their engagement after four years together.

"Continuing our friendship is incredibly important to both of us," they wrote in a lengthy joint statement via Instagram. "We feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other. It's heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die."

"We are beyond thankful for the memories made together, and for your support of us and the boys throughout the years," the former couple noted, referencing their shared dogs. "Moving forward we will always have that level of support for each other. We don't know what the future holds so please try to hold space for us in your hearts."
