Kaitlyn Bristowe is opening up about her status with Jason Tartick nearly five months after announcing their breakup.

While the former pair has been in communication and even reunited at Chris Harrison's wedding last November, the former Bachelorette star admitted she has been "disappointed" with her ex in recent weeks.

"It's really disappointing to me the way that Jason is kind of leaning into the victim mentality," Bristowe explained on Thursday's Off the Vine podcast. "I don't want to dismiss that he's hurting. I don't want to dismiss that his feelings are valid and his feelings are hurting."

But while holding back tears, Bristowe shared that she is hurting too.

"We have been so transparent with each other to have respect for one another," she explained. "The word disappointed keeps coming up. I feel so disappointed that someone could use a false narrative to garner sympathy for themselves."

In recent weeks, Tartick has shared his perspective on the breakup. While appearing on Harrison's podcast, Tartick broke down in tears when reliving their public split.

"Kaitlyn meant so much to me and still currently does, and I get so worried," he said. "I just get so worried about the repercussions of what I say and I care, still, so much for her and it's really, really hard for me to have these conversations."

As for Bristowe, she is still experiencing a wide variety of emotions herself as she tries her best to move forward.

"The after sh-- storm of nonsense and noise that comes with this breakup and people just not knowing everything," she shared. "I'm almost feeling so much disappointment in certain people and certain things that I didn't think I would feel and that's been the downfall of me this year."
