Justin Timberlake Announces Free Concert in Memphis Ahead of Return to Music (Exclusive)
The announcement comes as a source tells The Messenger, 'Justin Timberlake is dropping his new album end of the month'
Pop star Justin Timberlake is headed home to Memphis for a free concert.
The singer announced the news on Instagram Friday, writing, "Going home 1/19." Timberlake's caption was accompanied by an image of a billboard that read, "JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE IS PERFORMING FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY IN MEMPHIS."
The Orpheum Theater in Tennessee further announced the news on its website, confirming guests can request up to two free tickets via Ticketmaster. Ticket requests must be submitted by Monday, Jan. 15 at 10:59 p.m. local time. If selected, fans will receive an email with instructions on how to pick up the tickets on Thursday.
In the Instagram post, Timberlake also shared a video of him as a teen showing off his city set to music. In it, Timberlake can be heard mysteriously singing "uh" before the audio cuts.
Additionally, a source tells The Messenger, "Justin Timberlake is dropping his new album end of the month."
The upcoming performance will mark Timberlake's return to public shows following the release of Britney Spear's memoir, The Woman In Me, in October 2023. In it, Spears recalled their romantic relationship from 1999 through 2002 and wrote about Timberlake speaking with a "blaccent" and pressuring her to get an abortion.
Public opinion following the revelations soured so much so that Timberlake felt the need to address them during his surprise return to the stage in December for a private performance at the Fontainebleau opening in Las Vegas. "No disrespect," he said at the beginning of "Cry Me a River."
