Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells will soon reunite on Broadway for the first time in over 10 years for Gutenberg! The Musical.

The production, originally developed at New York's Upright Citizen's
Brigade Theatre in 2005, will debut on Broadway for a 20-week limited run, beginning Oct. 12 and closing Jan. 28, according to a press release.

Rannells and Gad first performed on Broadway together in 2011 as the stars of The Book of Mormon, created by South Park's Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

"After years of relentless stalking and countless restraining orders, Josh Gad has finally gotten me to agree to share the stage with him again," Rannells joked in the release. "I decided it was best to just give in and honestly, it feels right to be reunited with my onstage missionary companion. Also, it was clear he would not leave me alone until I said yes."

The show will be directed by Alex Timbers and written by Scott Brown and Anthony King, all of whom were a part of the creative team behind the musical, Beetlejuice.

This will be Gad's first return to Broadway since The Book of Mormon, while Rannells has since appeared onstage in Falsettos, The Boys in The Band, Hamilton and Hedwig and The Angry Inch.

"It's been 12 years since I've been on a Broadway stage. And after 12 years, the only person who would agree to take the stage with me again was my co-star from 12 years ago. I am grateful that Andrew Rannells said yes, because I really didn't have the energy to do a one-man show," Gad said in the release.

Gutenberg follows two friends who create a musical about the creator of the printing press, Johannes Gutenberg, as seen in the show's promotional video.

"One thing will be clear… not since the invention of the printing press has the name 'Gutenberg' held such promise," Gad also joked in the press release. "And as a team, we intend to honor the man who is directly responsible for the mass production of our show's Playbills."

Previews for the production will open Sept. 15, and tickets are available now.
