Jill Duggar Dillard is standing by her allegation that her father Jim Bob Duggar tricked her into signing a contract for reality TV.

In her debut memoir Counting the Cost, the former 19 Kids and Counting star looked back on the day before her wedding when she was allegedly approached by her dad with a piece of paper.

According to People, Jill claimed in the book that her father dismissively said the form was regarding how she was going to get paid.

Without hesitation, Jill said she signed the paper in 2014 because she never had a reason not to "trust Pops."

It wasn't until early 2016 when Jill and her husband Derick Dillard realized the full extent of the contract.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the couple was in El Salvador on a mission and declined to return to the United States to film a promotion for Jill & Jessa: Counting On, the spinoff created when 19 Kids and Counting was canceled.

Jill claimed that Jim Bob pressured her into filming the promo, allegedly saying she would get sued if she didn't fulfill her commitment and that it would be her fault if TLC canceled Counting On

According to Jill, Jim Bob eventually showed up unannounced on her doorstep in El Salvador and filmed the reunion.

This isn't the first time Jill has accused Jim Bob of tricking her into a contract. In the Amazon docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, Jill recalled signing an important form with little information.

"I just saw the signature page," Jill explained. "It was at the end of the kitchen table like, 'Hey, we just need you guys to sign these.' Everybody was signing them."

Derick detailed ominously, "What we found out later was that it was a commitment of your life for the next five years to the show."

The Messenger has reached out to the Duggar family for comment on Jill's book.

In a statement to Good Morning America, Jim Bob and his wife Michelle Duggar said, "We've aimed to deal honorably with our children, our finances and other endeavors. While imperfect, it is our intent and desire to live a life that honors Christ."

They also added to the outlet that they don't believe "the best way to resolve conflicts" is through the media nor a public forum so would not comment any further.
