Jamie Foxx went all out with his holiday decorations this year — and for good reason.

The actor shared a video of his decked-out house on Monday, which featured a glittery, extravagant display of lights wrapped around the interior and exterior.

"When I was a kid the only lights we could afford for outside the house was a red light bulb," Foxx captioned the post. "I said when I'm finally blessed enough. I'm GON LIGHT IT UP!!! Murrrrrrkrima #welit #thecrib."

Foxx, who was born in Terrell, Texas, was adopted by his grandparents when he was 7 months old. The family was on a fixed income, and Foxx would get free lunch at school, the actor recalled during a 2005 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

His father, he added, kept his distance from him growing up. "I think some of his absence has to do with his being a Muslim. He drew a line in the sand: 'I'm a Muslim, and since you're not, I can't be your father,'" Foxx recounted.

As a teen, Foxx said he earned extra money by playing piano for wealthy white kids and was subjected to racism.

"I was playing at the Christmas party that evening, the man and his friends were off to my right telling n----- jokes, one right after another. As I played, I felt like I was in slavery," Foxx told the talk show host.

He added, "Afterward the man hands me $100, which was big money for a 15-year-old. When I took off his jacket and handed it to him, he said, 'I can't wear that jacket now. Keep it.' Since my friend hadn't yet arrived to pick me up — it was 9:15 — he said, 'You're gonna have to wait up the street.'"
