Among the confessions, revelations, and anecdotes in Jada Pinkett Smith's Worthy memoir are the origins behind her iconic online show, Red Table Talk. The show was canceled last year due to a discontinuation of all original programs on Facebook Watch.

But, with endless material and in need of a new home, Pinkett Smith and her team are now searching for another distributor.

"I can't say at this time, but we definitely plan on coming back," she told The Messenger in an exclusive interview.

Red Table Talk was born of a Mother's Day special, during which Pinkett Smith, her mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris, and daughter Willow recorded themselves sharing important life stories.

"By sharing it widely, I hoped to encourage other mothers to get past the fear of telling their stories to their daughters, and maybe inspire them to have their own intergenerational conversations on their own terms," she writes in Worthy.

Pinkett Smith originally inteded the special to be a one-off. Though she received offers to turn the special into a show, the 52 year old chose to wait due to timing and Willow's age.

Five years later, she decided to shop the show around before partnering with Facebook, which offered a "lucrative deal" that "also let us retain ownership of the brand."

The show aired for five seasons, covering a variety of topics while hosting celebrities like Constance Wu, Serena and Venus Williams, Kevin Hart, and Leah Remini. It was also a place for the actor and her husband Will Smith to clear up the now infamous "entanglement" rumors and address the status of their relationship.

Pinkett Smith continued: "...We loved doing it, although when we made the deal with Facebook, we had no idea that it would turn into our day jobs. We never suspected how successful it was going to be."
