Is ‘The Exorcist: Believer’ Cursed With a Post-Credits Scene?
To pee or not to pee
[Warning: This article contains spoilers about The Exorcist: The Believer.]
The Exorcist: Believer, the latest regurgitation of the long-suffering Exorcist franchise, is the first of a promised trilogy from director David Gordon Green and producer Jason Blum. Therefore, it stands to reason that it might have one of those playful post-credits stingers for those willing to sit in the theater to wait until the very end.
But the movie is so boring that most people will want nothing more than to dart out of there the moment the darn thing is over. However, we at The Messenger understand the psychology of the sunk-cost fallacy. You made it this far; might as well go all the way. But we aim to provide answers to life's big questions, and we know you've got one on your mind right now:
Is There a Post-Credits Scene in The Exorcist: Believer?
No. No, there is no post-credits scene in The Exorcist: Believer. Let this be written down as gospel. Amen.
Much of the reasoning, we're sure, is because the last shot of the movie proper serves the same purpose as a stinger would. It tees up that the character Regan MacNeil, played by the actress from the original Exorcist, Linda Blair, is back in the mix. She comes to visit her injured mother, Chris, played by 90-year-old Ellen Burstyn, healing a decades-long rift between the two characters.
It stands to reason that Regan will be prominent in the forthcoming episodes.

But should you sit through the whole credits, you'll be treated to Amman Abbasi and David Wingo's remix of Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells," an electro-symphonic composition that was recorded independently in 1973 and later included in the first Exorcist. The new version isn't anything near the original, but it's interesting.
