A humorous TikTok showing a trio of young sisters panicking over a botched haircut is rapidly going viral, with viewers commenting that it's an Oscar-worthy "coming of age" story packed into a few short minutes.

The saga starts out with oldest sister Valentina staging a "Get Ready With Me" video in her bedroom. As she's commenting on her beauty routine, middle sister Magdalena enters and asks for a pair of scissors.

"For what?" asks Valentina.

"Something," replies Magdalena, vaguely.

Moments later, an ear-piercing shriek is heard, and it is revealed that little sister Camelia has attempted to chop bangs — with a hysterically terrible result.

Further hilarity ensues as the sisters frantically try to fix the disaster ("Tomorrow's school picture day!") all the while desperately attempting to not let Mom — who keeps ominously asking off screen what the kids are up to — know what's going on.

Viewers responded to the mini-drama with delighted comments on its relatability, as well as its remarkable cinematic structure for such a short clip.

"This is something only Greta Gerwig would be able to replicate," quipped one, while another said, "This needs to win an award. It had comedy, action, drama, and suspense."

"This was art," proclaimed yet another. "This was an entire movie about sisterhood."
