Warning: The following contains spoilers for A Zest for Death: A Hannah Swensen Mystery.

Hannah Swensen (Alison Sweeney) solved another murder and got her groove back! The newest Hannah Swensen mystery, A Zest for Death, premiered on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries on Friday, Oct. 6. A lemon-meringue-loving customer of Hannah's was found dead in her bedroom as Hannah and her sister Michelle (Tess Atkins) toured the house in hopes of buying it for Michelle.

Delores (Barbara Niven), who also crashed the house viewing, took this as a sign to start her own side hustle as a detective while Hannah initially decided to sit this one out. She was still hurting after her last case and subsequent breakup with Mike (Cameron Mathison) when it looked like he didn't believe she was actually good at solving cases. The two were barely speaking at the start of A Zest for Death, but they couldn't avoid each other as Hannah was inevitably drawn into the case.

Hannah learned a few key lessons while solving the latest murder. The first lesson was that you should check your real estate agent's financials before telling them about your recent big inheritance. They have a key to your house and can show up any time! The second lesson was that communication is key when trying to solve a murder and put your relationship back together.

As Alison Sweeney teased to The Messenger after A Carrot Cake Murder, Hannah and Mike's breakup was more about ego than them not loving each other. Once this new case forced them to actually talked to each other, it took no time at all to realize that they still loved each other. They had a heart-to-heart where Mike apologized for making Hannah feel like he didn't believe in her. Hannah swallowed her pride and admitted that she missed him. Once their new murder suspect was arrested, they could get back on track.

However, much to Delores' dismay, this does not mean wedding bells in the future. Hannah and Mike are back together again, but they have agreed to take it "day by day" and essentially start their relationship over. So there won't be any wedding cakes or decadent walks down the aisle any time soon. After A Carrot Cake Murder's heartbreak, though, we are just happy to see Hannah and Mike happy again. Let's hope it stays that way when the next murder accidentally falls in Hannah's lap.

A Zest for Death: A Hannah Swensen Mystery will re-air on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries the following days.

Wednesday, October 11 at 7/6c
Saturday, October 14 at 9/8c
