Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Anderson's love story wasn't always smooth sailing. The Munchausen by proxy victim, who was released in December 2023 after eight years in prison for the 2015 murder of her abusive mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, married Anderson while locked up. Now, she's revealing new revelations about their relationship in the Lifetime docuseries The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard. In the final episode, which premiered on Jan. 7, Blanchard one particularly stunning admission: She reached out to her ex-fiancé, Ken, just weeks before her wedding to Anderson.

Gypsy and Ken first became pen pals while she was in prison, and they became engaged in October 2018. Unfortunately, after being in a tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship, it was confirmed that Gypsy and Ken had called off their engagement when she got married to Anderson in July 2022.

That didn't mean Gypsy stopped thinking about Ken. In a phone call, documented in Prison Confessions' final episode, Gypsy admitted to Anderson that she had a dream she left him for Ken. She even told Anderson that she called Ken just weeks before their wedding, which caused Anderson to angrily hang up the phone.

"I revealed to Ryan that I had a conversation with my ex-fiancé about three weeks ago, and that conversation started a fight," Gypsy told cameras.

"It hurt because it's one of those where like, she keeps telling me, 'Well, I've put that behind me,'" Anderson said in a subsequent confessional. "I think now that the wedding's coming up, it's one of those things where I worry that she'll leave me for him."

Ultimately, Gypsy told her then-fiancé that the conversation with Ken provided her with the closure she needed to go through with her wedding.

"I'll never be some blond, fake-ass, prissy-ass bimbo that he's interested in," Gypsy told Anderson at the time. "We're not gonna stay in touch with each other anymore."

Now, Anderson and Gypsy appear to be happier than ever: In recent weeks, the couple made headlines for defending their "fire" sex life, with Gypsy writing on Instagram, "...they jealous because you are rocking my world every night…yeah, I said it, the D is fire."

The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard is now available to stream on Lifetime and Hulu + Live TV.
