Gwen Stefani Gets Hollywood Walk of Fame Star in ‘Never in My Wildest Dreams’ Moment
The 'Hollaback Girl' singer was joined by husband Blake Shelton and her children at the ceremony on Thursday
Gwen Stefani is celebrating a major moment in her career — with her family by her side.
On Thursday, the singer former No Doubt singer was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as her sons Apollo, 9, Zuma, 15, and Kingston, 17, and her husband Blake Shelton stood by her side.
"Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think, this girl right here from Orange County, would have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame," Stefani said in her acceptance speech. "It just doesn’t make sense to me."
The "Hollaback Girl" singer also took a moment in her speech to thank record executive Jimmy Iovine, as well as several others, including Akon, music exec Irving Azoff and her children (whom she shares with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
"The reason I have a music career is because of Jimmy Iovine," Stefani said. "You pushed me to cross boundaries writing with people I didn't even feel like I fit in the room with."
She also took time to give Shelton a heartfelt "thank you."
"I love you so much you have given me the kind of love I never knew before. The minute I met you I knew I was home," she said in the speech.

Shelton, who Stefani married in 2021, also gave a short speech on behalf of his wife, calling her "the perfect person to receive a star on the Walk of Fame."
"Standing here almost 10 years later after I first met her, I can say without question that being a mother is still the most important thing in her life,” Shelton said during his speech. "And I gotta tell you all, that’s rare in this business."
Joking, Shelton added that it was nice to see his wife being honored for her "side project" — that is, "being one of the biggest stars in the world."
"Today, it’s nice to see her honored for her side project, which is being one of the biggest stars in the world. In my opinion, Gwen is the perfect person to receive a star on the Walk of Fame," he continued. "From music, television and movies to fashion and beauty, she has risen to the top over and over again, with her unique style that has made the world fall in love with her. Not as much as me, though."
Following the ceremony, Stefani took to Instagram to share a message with fans.
"Who would have thought this girl from Anaheim would have her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame 🌟 thank u for walking this journey with me, singing with me all these years … i love u !!!" she wrote.
