It's time to break the news. The Messenger's slogan

Frozen fans can look forward to a third — and possibly even a fourth — film in the hit Disney franchise.

Disney CEO Bob Iger appeared on Good Morning America Thursday as he called in from the new World of Frozen attraction in Hong Kong Disneyland, an immersive experience designed to make guests feel like they are experiencing the fantasy world of Arendelle.

During the conversation, co-host Michael Strahan asked Iger what audiences could expect from the upcoming Frozen 3

"I'll give you a little surprise there, Michael. Frozen 3 is in the works, and there might be a Frozen 4 in the works, too," Iger said. "I don't have much to say about those films right now, but Jen Lee who created the original Frozen and Frozen 2 is hard at work with her team at Disney Animation on not one, but actually two stories."

Little to no information has been revealed regarding either new film, including casting and plot details, but Idina Menzel confirmed she would be returning to lend her voice to snow queen Elsa once again. Kristen Bell also teased her own interest in revisiting Princess Anna during a conversation with Jimmy Fallon.

The series is coming up on its tenth anniversary, as the original Academy Award-winning film debuted on Nov. 27, 2013.

It was welcomed with box-office success, critical acclaim and an adoring fan base, so much so that it has spawned spinoff audio series, books, short films and a Broadway musical. In 2019, Frozen 2 premiered and saw the return of the star-studded cast including Bell, Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff in their lead roles.

Frozen follows royal sisters Elsa and Anna, along with their friends Kristoff (Groff) and snowman Olaf (Gad) on their icy magical adventures. In addition to the film's Best Animated Feature win courtesy of Chris Buck, Jennifer Lee and Peter Del Vecho, the film is scored by Christophe Beck, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
