Food Network Star Darnell ‘SuperChef’ Ferguson Arrested for Strangulation, Burglary

The 'Superchef: Grudge Match' star is also facing misdemeanors of assault, criminal mischief, menacing and theft-receipt of a stolen credit or debit card

Darnell "SuperChef" Ferguson, star of Food Network's Superchef: Grudge Match, has been arrested.

Per his booking sheet, Ferguson was taken into custody in Louisville, Ky., on Tuesday at 3:55 p.m. local time. Page Six reported that he is being held for terroristic threatening, burglary and strangulation. Additionally, he is facing misdemeanors of assault, criminal mischief, menacing and theft-receipt of a stolen credit or debit card.

The former Worst Cooks in America star was arraigned Wednesday morning, according to the Kentucky Court of Justice website. He also has a hearing in a local family court on Feb. 9.

The Messenger has reached out to the St. Matthews Police Department and a rep for Ferguson for comment.

The details of his family court case are not confirmed, however, based on the court's website, it involves a complaint his wife Tatahda Shanae Ferguson filed against him.

Per the outlet, she was granted emergency protection against the Tournament of Champions contestant on Jan. 2. The pair shares eight children.

Food Network did not immediately respond to The Messenger's request for comment.
