‘Even Stevens’ Cast: Where Are They Now?
Here's what Louis, Ren, and the rest of the gang have been up to since the beloved series ended
It's probably been a while since you've even thought of Even Stevens, the beloved Disney Channel show that recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of its finale (and the 23rd anniversary of its premiere). Louis Stevens (Shia LaBeouf) was always butting heads with his straight-arrow sister Ren (Christy Carlson Romano) and caught up in some kind of money-making scheme with his friends. (Remember when he turned his house into an actual bed and breakfast while his parents were away?)
A lot has happened since the show premiered on June 17, 2000, so let's see what the cast of Even Stevens is up to today.
Shia LaBeouf as Louis Stevens
The part of Louis Stevens was LaBeouf's breakout role, winning him a Daytime Emmy and launching him into other projects like 2003's Holes. The actor later scored prominent roles in action films like Transformers, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Fury. LaBeouf has seen his fair share of troubles over the years, including court-ordered rehab, plagiarism scandals, and allegations of domestic abuse. He is facing a civil suit from ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs for sexual assault and is scheduled to go to trial later this year. He's still working, though; he stars alongside Aubrey Plaza and Adam Driver in the upcoming Francis Ford Coppola film Megalopolis, which is set to premiere in 2024.

Playing Louis' overachieving older sister wasn't Romano's only Disney Channel role. She was also the voice of Kim Possible in the network's eponymous animated series from 2002 to 2007. The actress has two children with her husband, Marine veteran and podcast startup CEO Brendan Rooney. In 2023, Romano and Rooney launched the Even More Stevens Podcast with her fellow former costars Nick Spano and Steven Anthony Lawrence where they share behind-the-scenes stories from the set.
Tom Virtue as Steven Stevens
Since playing the OG Disney Dad, Tom Virtue has had small appearances on literally dozens of TV shows, from That's So Raven and Arrested Development to CSI and American Horror Story. He also had a recurring role as Reverend Stone on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. In addition to TV, Virtue has had small roles in big films like Iron Man 3 and Green Book.
Donna Pescow as Eileen Stevens
Donna Pescow had a successful career beginning with Saturday Night Fever long before she played a California state senator and mom to the Stevens kids. But since the Disney Channel series, she's gone on to have more TV roles in shows like The Sopranos and as Dr. Sharon Finkel in The Flash.
A.J. Trauth as Alan Twitty
A true best friend, Twitty was always down to help Louis with his next scheme. The actor who played him went on to have several other small TV appearances, including in House, Reba and CSI. Twitty has also had some voice acting gigs in Kim Possible and two Wolfenstein video games.
Margo Harshman as Tawny Dean
Margo Harshman played Tawny Dead, the eccentric aspiring psychiatrist Tawny Dean who became Louis' girlfriend in the finale. Harshman won a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series by a Supporting Young Actress. In the years since Even Stevens wrapped, Harshman scored starring roles in Sorority Row and Fired Up!, and had recurring roles in two of TV's most popular shows, The Big Bang Theory and NCIS, playing wheelchair-using intelligence analyst Delilah Fielding in the latter.
Nick Spano as Donnie Stevens
The oldest Stevens child, Donnie, was a bit of a jock and had real big brother energy. Nick Spano later become an acting coach in addition to diving into the lifestyle and restaurant industries. He now cohosts the Even More Stevens Podcast with Christy Carlson Romano and Steven Anthony Lawrence.
Steven Anthony Lawrence as Bernard 'Beans' Aranguren
Steven Anthony Lawrence played the role of Beans in the most endearingly annoying way possible. His character showed up in Season 2 as the bacon-loving neighbor kid, and soon became a staple on the show. Besides Beans character, Lawrence is best known for appearing in The Cat in the Hat, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Kicking and Screaming. He also has done commercial work for T-Mobile and Old Spice and rounds out the trio of cohosts on the Even More Stevens Podcast.
