Drake Announces Surprise EP on the Heels of His Latest Album
Drake will release his 'Scary Hours 3' EP on Friday, just six weeks after unveiling his 'For All the Dogs' LP and announcing that he'd take a break from making music for 'maybe a year'
Just one month after releasing his latest album, For All the Dogs, hip-hop star Drake is about to drop another body of music.
On Thursday the "Jimmy Crooks" rapper announced the release of his Scary Hours 3 EP on Friday, Nov. 17, with a cryptic video on his Instagram.
"I'll say this to you I'm not… I feel no need to appease anybody. I feel so confident about the body of work I just dropped that I know I can go and disappear for whatever… six months, a year… two years," says Drake in the voiceover. "Though I'm not into the lengthy, super-lengthy disappearances just for the sake of mystery."
The new EP comes just six weeks after Drake said he was taking a break from recording new music for "Maybe a year or so, maybe a little longer," citing health issues.
The rapper also recently announced a continuation of his It's All a Blur tour into 2024 with special guest J. Cole.
