Drake, GloRilla, Lizzo and 21 Savage Are the 2023 BET Awards’ Top Contenders: Nomination List

The BET Awards announced their 2023 nominations Thursday, and Drake and GloRilla have a good chance of coming out on top.

Drake holds the most nominations this year, with seven categories — including Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Best Collaboration (with Future and Tems) and Album of the Year, for his album with 21 Savage, Her Loss.

Following Drake is GloRilla with six nominations. They include Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Best New Artist, Video of the Year for "Tomorrow 2" with Cardi B and Album of the Year for Anyways, Life's Great.

21 Savage and Lizzo tied for the third-highest number of nominations with five categories. Lizzo is up for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Video of the Year for "About Damn Time" and the BET Her award, while 21 Savage is nominated for his collaborations with Drake, including Best Group as well as Best Male Hip Hop Artist.

Additionally, the annual awards show will also honor select winners in the worlds of sports and movies.

As usual, there will be several viewer's choice categories, with voting beginning Thursday and running through June 25, the day of the show. The awards will then take place June 25 at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT.
