Dennis Rodman's latest tattoo is going to leave a mark.

Earlier this week, the former Chicago Bulls basketball player headed to Van Johnson's tattoo parlor to get some brand-new ink. The new face tattoo, in fact, turned out to be a portrait of his girlfriend.

"So I ain't do too much today, cooled out at my townhome, tattooed a living legends face of his woman on his face, that's about it…." Johnson wrote on Instagram Thursday with a first look at the finished product. "What y'all do?"

In the video, Rodman's girlfriend appears to be excited at the tattoo as she squeals in delight. And according to Johnson, everyone was happy with the look.

"He loved it," the Black Ink Crew star exclusively told The Messenger. "She said it looked just like her."

As for how Johnson pulled it off, the tattoo artist shared some behind-the-scenes secrets.

"It took 1.5 hours and it's definitely real," the artist shared. "He did it with no numbing cream."

To Johnson's credit, he has a bit of experience with similar requests. "I've done a guy on a girl's leg before and he was living," Johnson said. "They broke up now, but I've done several portraits."

In addition to his skills on the basketball court, Rodman has been known for his many tattoos and piercings. During a 2019 interview with ESPN, the NBA alum explained why he loves body modifications so much.

"They think that I've been doing this because I'm hiding something," he shared. "No, I don't think so. I feel like it's more of an outlet for me because when I have negative things happen to my life I seem to want to hurt myself physically. I think the tattoos have more symbolizes that."

TMZ was first to report the new tattoo.
