Coldplay fans are getting the chance to be featured on one of the band's new songs.

On Thursday, the band took to their Instagram to ask fans to contribute to a track on their forthcoming album Moon Music, which they "have nearly finished," by singing just one note.

Fans are asked to copy a note provided on the band's website, for "sing a G or C in any octave."

"Hello everybody," the band began their Instagram caption. "We hope you are all ok in these wild times. We have nearly finished Moon Music. If you’d like to be on it too, perhaps you could add your voice to a song called 'One World.' (We would love that a lot.)" they wrote. "

All you have to do is record yourself singing 'Ahhhhh' for a few seconds at oneworld.coldplay.com. ...You can either copy the note on the site, or sing a G or C in any octave."

They thanked fans for their support, and finished the post: "Love, Chris, Guy, Will and Jonny."

On the group's website, they offer further instructions on how to participate, asking fans not to include "words or phrases please." They also specify that participants must be 18 or older.

The English band first revealed they were working on Moon Music in January, with frontman Chris Martin describing the record in an interview with City News as the "second Music Of The Spheres volume," in reference to their 2021 album.

"We might start playing some songs at some point this year," Martin added.

In 2024, the group will tour this latest album throughout Europe, stopping in Italy, France, Germany, Austria and more.
