Peloton Instructor Who Slammed ‘Tenet’ Says There Is One Christopher Nolan Movie She Watched Twice
Peloton instructor Jenn Sherman responded after director Christopher Nolan put her on blast for criticizing his movie 'Tenet' in a class he attended
After getting called out by Christopher Nolan for trashing his movie Tenet during a Peloton class, instructor Jenn Sherman insisted she doesn't hate all of his movies.
It all started at the New York Film Critics Circle dinner Wednesday night where Nolan accepted the Best Director prize for Oppenheimer. During his speech, Nolan recalled taking a Peloton class where the instructor unknowingly criticized Tenet, saying, "that’s a couple hours of my life I’ll never get back again."
On Thursday, the saga continued after Sherman, the Peloton instructor in question, caught wind of everything.
"Listen, it was 2020. It was a dark time," Sherman said of her Tenet comments. "I'm up on the platform, teaching my little class. I'm running my mouth off like I'm known to do. I make a random comment about a movie I had seen the night before. What do you think the odds are the director of said movie would take that ride some four years later?"
The odds were sadly not in Sherman's favor, who doubled down and said, "I may not have understood a minute of what was going on in Tenet. That sh-- went right over my head."
But it wasn't all bad news for Nolan.
"I have seen Oppenheimer twice," Sherman noted, "and that's six hours of my life that I don't ever want to get back."

Not only that, Sherman extended an olive branch to the director for a much-needed redemption ride.
“Mr. Nolan, I’m inviting you to come for a ride with me in the Peloton studio," Sherman said. "You can critique my class. You’ll have a great time. You’ll sit in the front row. And I promise you it’ll be insult-free."
Still, probably best not to show her the even-more-confusing-on-first-watch Memento beforehand.
