When it comes to the rise of the Kardashians, nobody had a better seat than Caitlyn Jenner. It makes sense, then, that Jenner is interviewed in the upcoming Sky channel documentary House of Kardashian, which profiles the polarizing family.

In the trailer, released Thursday, Jenner discusses the career of former step-daughter Kim Kardashian.

"Kimberly calculated from the beginning," Jenner says, "how do I become famous?"

Later, when Jenner is asked "what it was like working with" ex-wife Kris Jenner, all Caitlyn can do is let out an exasperated laugh.

Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis is also featured in the trailer. He talks about Kim and ex-boyfriend Ray J's 2007 sex tape, which was a catalyst (along with the family's reality show) for her becoming a household name nearly overnight.

"The sex tape was a means to an end," Francis says. "It was to create a controversy."

House of Kardashian, according to Sky, will highlight the "rise, reach and the cost that comes with being some of the most famous women on the planet" complete with "exclusive, unseen archival footage."

The documentary premieres Oct. 8 on U.K.'s Sky channel. A U.S. distribution deal has not been announced.

Stateside viewers hungry for more Kardashian content can look forward to the season four premiere of the family's Hulu reality series The Kardashians on Sept. 28.
