‘RHOP’ Star Ashley Darby Wants to Hook Up With ‘Below Deck’s’ Captain Jason (Exclusive)

When it comes to her next fun hookup, Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby has her eyes set on one Bravolebrity: Below Deck Down Under star Captain Jason Chambers.

Speaking with The Messenger at BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas on Friday, the RHOP star gushed on her celebrity crush and explained why her eyes are "wide open" going into the fun-filled weekend.

"There are some very handsome people in the Bravo sphere that I didn't see before because I was married," said Darby, who separated from ex-husband Michael Darby in April 2022 after eight years of marriage. "And then I was married. And then I had eyes on [Summer House star] Luke [Gulbranson]. And now it's like, you know, they're wide open."

When asked who she'd like to meet up with during the weekend, Darby said: "Captain James. He's a cutie."

"We've chatted," she said of the Below Deck Down Under captain. "We talk about, like, ashrams and yoga and stuff like that. Whatever happens. I'm not rushing it. I believe in divine timing. I'm a lover girl. Hardcore lover girl. So when the time is right."

"[Southern Charm-er] Madison LeCroy said to me, 'You need to kiss a few frogs,'" Darby added. "So that's what I'm working on. I haven't kissed many frogs."

Last year, Darby and Gulbranson began a whirlwind romance after meeting at BravoCon in October.

During the RHOP Season 7 reunion, Darby admitted to Andy Cohen and her cast mates that she was "started falling in love" with Gulbranson.

"Do you think there’s a chance for the two of you in the future? You and Luke?" Cohen asked.

"I don't know," she replies. "I started falling in love with the guy."

However, the two called it quits earlier this year.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in January, Darby explained why the romance fizzled.

"It's not really about Luke, but [Michael and I] just have a hard time, period, with co-parenting and separating," she told Cohen. "It’s my situation with Michael that affected Luke and I."

The Below Deck Down Under Season 2 finale aired on Sept. 18 on Bravo. The show is available to stream on Peacock. The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 premieres on Sunday, Nov. 5 on Bravo. BravoCon continues through Sunday.
