Will Bravo Expand ‘Real Housewives’ Franchise to Additional Cities? Andy Cohen Explains
At BravoCon 2023, the executive producer of 'Real Housewives' franchise dished on the possibility of fans meeting new housewives in the near future
Andy Cohen is setting the record straight on the potential for more Real Housewives cities coming to the Bravo universe in the near future.
At BravoCon 2023, the Real Housewives franchise executive producer appeared on the Ask Andy panel hosted by Bachelor Nation's Rachel Lindsay and teased a bit about what fans are hoping for.
"There have been countless rumors, this past year specifically, about Bravo possibly looking to expand the Housewives to cities like Scottsdale, Vegas, New Orleans. How likely is that happening?" Lindsay directly asked Cohen on Saturday. "Do you want to debunk any of these rumors? Do you want to confirm some of these rumors?"
In reply, the Bravo star explained, "I think what happened in each of those cases were… This happens all the time. There will be production companies that go to a town and say, 'We are casting for this,' but sometimes they're casting on their own to bring a pitch to Bravo. So it's not necessarily us going out in those cities and casting."
As for Scottsdale, Arizona; Las Vegas, Nevada; and New Orleans, Louisiana, specifically?
"I think we have cast in one of those cities," he added. "But we don't have any new… I can tell you right now that there's no new Housewives that have crossed my desk that are in the offing. We're in a very strong period of Housewives right now. I don't think there's a hole in the marketplace for a new one."
Still, Lindsay pushed for a more concrete answer, telling Cohen: "As I said, we are insatiable. So you're saying that there's a possibility that we could expand?"
