Why Becca Tilley Is Already Hoping for ‘The Golden Bachelorette’: ‘You’re Rooting for These People’ (Exclusive)

Bachelor Nation's Becca Tilley is just one of 4.36 million viewers who tuned in to watch 72-year-old Gerry Turner look for love on the series premiere of The Golden Bachelor on Thursday.

"I love it," Tilley exclusively told The Messenger at Colton Underwood's Pickle! for Purpose Celebrity Pickleball Tournament Saturday. "I talked to so many people who are like, 'I haven't watched The Bachelor franchise in so long and this is going to bring me back into it.'"

"I think there's something really special about it," she added. "I think it feels fresh and new and you're rooting for these people to have a chance at love. It's just so sweet. I wish it was longer. It was only an hour."

As much as she loves The Golden Bachelor, Tilley, who was a contestant on the 19th and 20th seasons of The Bachelor and is now dating "Lesbian Jesus" pop star Hayley Kiyoko, admits that she's already waiting for ABC to announce The Golden Bachelorette.

"I haven't chosen who I want to be the Golden Bachelorette, but there better be a Golden Bachelorette," she said. "There has to be. They have to keep it going. This is what the world needs."

The Golden Bachelor airs new episodes Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC.
